During this interview, there was a discussion about OHI and I referenced federal information that indicates that if school districts require a student to have a diagnosis to be examined under OHI, the district may need to pay for that appointment. Click HERE to download the document that references this.
Turn to the bottom of page 46550 and continuing to the top of 46551. Here it indicates that a state can mandate a diagnosis, only if the evaluation is provided at no cost to a district.
